Update 0.9.4.0
Wassup Fighters!
We've already made major changes to the Grenade Launchers, and now we're taking things up a notch with adjustments to the Avalanche and Bullseye Rocket Launchers and a redesigned Tugarin! Don’t worry, we have plenty more for you to dig through! So, without delaying things any further, let’s take a peek at what’s in-store!
Weapon Updates
This week, we've gone all-in on the Avalanche and Bullseye Rocket Launchers. We've given them some killer redesigns, cool adjustments and necessary tweaks.
Avalanche
It was completely redesigned to give players a Rocket Launcher that has some crowd control ability with some cool themes while keeping the gun easy to learn, and hard to master.
Projectiles split into 2 smaller ones after 12.5 meters. The secondary and tertiary projectiles deal the same damage but have considerably smaller explosion radiuses.
AoE radius: 5m, 3m, 2m respectively
Also gained a frost theme to match better with its name meaning that explosions apply freezing.
Freezing effect: 50%, 40% 30% respectively
Damage for all rockets is 40. This means that ideally you keep your distance when engaging to cause maximum damage.
Bullseye
We've made some changes to the Bullseye to give you a pro-level experience. It's all about hitting hard and showing off your advanced aiming skills and mechanical proficiency.
Scoped rocket launcher: To make it more than a gimmick the weapon has a low range (compared to a rocket launcher) when unscoped (25 meters). Scoping increases the range of the projectile by 50%.
Pro tip: The range is determined when the weapon shoots so you can stop scoping in the moment you launched the rocket meaning you can with some practice get around the movement penalties.
It received a milder scope compared to sniper rifles (only 70% move speed and jump reduction, less camera offset, less zoom out).
The projectile is fast and accurate and hits really hard (125 damage, by far the highest amongst rocket launchers), but it has a 2-meter explosion radius so it is almost a single target weapon (Though if the enemy does you a favor by grouping up tightly, you can make them pay for it).
Tugarin Replacement
The Tugarin weapon has now been replaced with the new Boato! The very Pistola Olivary redesign for this assault rifle has finally arrived.
Game Center support for iOS devices
Great news for iOS users! We've added a new login option just for you. Now, you can log in using the Apple Game Center. If you're already logged in with your Apple ID account, it'll seamlessly link to your SquadBlast profile. Even if you reinstall the app or switch devices, your progress will be automatically restored. It's hassle-free gaming at its finest!
UI Changes
In the Replays tab in Social section Match ID is now visible and you can search for replays using IDs now.
Long-awaited friend list update! Please welcome its brand new fresh look and new Recent Players sections. Played with a cool teammate, but forgot his name? No need to worry about that now. Open your friend list with the button in the bottom panel and check out the recent players’ list. You can send them friend request of them to your party with a single action! Also, we’ve added players’ search to the top of the friend list too. It looks like finding new friends and teammates became easier now!
Public and Private party changes. We heard your feedback that party creation had too many steps and was not clear. While working on the major changes here, we made several adjustments to improve your party experience. Find Public party button on the main screen will join you to the existing public party or will create a new one for you by default. If you want to play with your friends, you can invite them to your party by opening a Friend List and clicking on the “+” button here. This action will create a private party with your friend, but you can still press ‘Start Searching’ if you wish to look for missing teammates in global Squadblast community. We’ve also added tooltips for these buttons to make sure you will get used to the Public/Private party differences in no time.
New hero animations in the Main Menu for Arx and Sonny.
Other Changes
Improved reconnections handling. In cases when your internet connection changes or is not stable, there will be fewer issues with the game reconnecting back fast
Bug Fixes
Scrolling in the Match History tab in the player profile now correctly resets when you go between several players. Sorting starts with the latest matches at the top and goes to the older ones at the bottom properly.
NOTE: If your iOS device is experiencing any kind of slowdowns or speedups, try this: Go to Settings, turn off Vsync, and set FPS to 30. This should help, thank us later 😉
We'll be back before you know it with more updates. We value your feedback, so keep those awesome ideas coming. We're excited to catch up with you soon and make SquadBlast even better together. Keep on grinding and see you in the next update!
