What’s going on Fighters!
Exciting news ahead! Brace yourself for some major balance changes and cool new barrel types coming your way in this week’s update! Let’s have a gander at what to expect this time round:
Balance Changes
Fighters:
Paavo
Armor regen component of his shield was removed
Shield activation time reduced from 1.3 to 0.5 seconds
Weapons:
Bullseye
Projectile gains damage over distance (between 32 over the first 10 meters of the flight up to 100 at 32 meters.
Projectile grows slightly bigger over distance
Projectile speed is greatly reduced
Explosion range is now 2 meters
The trajectory got some gravity so it is very slightly ballistic (not worse than the RL-88)
Reload time is 2.1 seconds
Scope removed
Kriegwerk
Unintended randomness in damage was removed, now it’s set at 40 damage.
New Barrels
We’ve added new environmental hazards into the fray!
In addition to existing types, we are adding two more for even greater variety on the battlefield. Please, welcome new members of the barrels family!
Poison barrels emit a toxic gas that inflicts 150 damage per second to players within a 6-unit radius for a duration of 6 seconds.
Gravity barrels create a localized gravitational pull that disrupts player movement, causing 22 damage per second to those caught within a 8-unit radius for a duration of 5 seconds.
Poison and Gravity barrels are now always available and accessible in duels, enhancing the tactical elements of one-on-one battles. And as for the regular matchmaking, they will be available only from level 20 onwards.
UI Changes
Wishlist button in Inventory is now bigger and easier to press
Items’ quantity numbers are more visible now
Other Changes
When you pick up a health pack, it will instantly remove burning effect
The new animations in the main menu have been temporarily turned off. We need some time to improve them and add more
Custom Games now have CTF mode for 8 players set up as the default setting
In regular matchmaking King of the Hill matches, the speed at which points are earned from captured crystals has been reduced by half
The messages in the Inbox are now sorted with the newest at the top
The timer for KoTH mode is removed
Bug Fixes
Several reconnection issues fixed that may have resulted in the endless Reconnection status
